Adam Hickman

Managing Director

As Managing Director and co-founder of Med ResQ, Adam heads up all commercial operations within the business. Following a Business Management Degree at Exeter University and with a passion for travel and adventure, Adam started his career as an expedition guide and remote medic, leading groups in some of the remotest and more challenging corners of the world. Adams ambition naturally lead him in to management and leadership roles before he moved to Dubai as the Middle East Director for World Challenge Expeditions, part of the TUI group. Adam moved back to the UK in 2012 to become Operations Director for UK adventure travel group Chameleon Worldwide then specialising as a consultant in travel risk and crisis management. Adam has more recently been a director for medical assistance company MRL Assist, before establishing Med ResQ in 2018. Adam has seen first hand the importance and significance of being supported by a medical assistance company you can trust and is proud to be a part of the highly motivated team at Med ResQ.

Medical Director

Stuart is a co-founder and Medical Director of Med ResQ. Stuart has worked extensively in the field of international medical assistance since 2010 having worked within some of the UK,s largest medical assistance companies including senior clinical roles overseeing a broad range of medical cases. Stuart has also worked in the field of medical screening for insurance providers and as an expert witness on legal cases involving medical assistance, in flight nursing and aviation medicine.

Stuart has a passion for nursing having spent much of his career working in large teaching hospitals, with clinical specialities in critical care and cardiology. Stuart has also repatriated countless patients from all over the world as a flight nurse on commercial airlines as well as a providing critical care on specialised Air Ambulances.

 

Dr Alex Gill

Chief Medical Officer

Alex is a UK trained and registered doctor, with most of his clinical experience in Accident and Emergency and General Practice. He has worked as a flight medic for the last 8 years and has completed an advanced diploma in Aviation Medicine at King’s College Hospital, London. Alex provides ongoing advice and support to the board of directors at Med ResQ and is regularly involved in more complex medical cases as well as clinical governance and best practice. 

Kelly Trudgen RN

Medical Case Manager

Kelly is a senior nurse with a background in critical care, clinical leadership and aviation medicine.  Kelly’s experience comes from both military and civilian environments having served as a nursing officer in the Royal Australian Air Force and as a critical care nurse in a number of large teaching hospitals in both Australia and the UK. Kelly’s experience is further enhanced by post graduate qualifications in Emergency Care and Public Health.

Kelly has a passion for international medical assistance and has coordinated and managed thousand of patient transfers worldwide. As well as acting as a key point of contact in the Med ResQ medical team, supporting patients and clients from our office, Kelly is also a regular flight nurse, caring for patients on commercial airline transfers.

Medical Case Manager

Chris qualified as a nurse in 2003, after which he had a diverse clinical career before settling for several years in a busy city Accident & Emergency department. Whilst working within the NHS, Chris discovered in flight nursing and international medical assistance. Since then Chris has accumulated over 15 years experience in International medical assistance and performed over a thousand repatriation flights to all corners of the globe, both on commercial flights and dedicated air ambulances. Whilst Chris still spends much of his life at 35,000 ft he also acts as a key contact for our clients and patients as a Medical Case Manager coordinating medical repatriations from the Med ResQ  medical desk.

Travel & Logistics

Caroline has a background in the international travel industry and has held senior management positions in a number of specialist travel companies. Having created and planned thousands of bespoke travel itineraries throughout her career, Caroline helps ensure that our flights and logistics capability is second to none. Having had extensive training and experience in flight Global Distribution Systems (GDS) Caroline works with our travel partners to ensure we provide a first class service at a competitive cost for our clients and patients.

Bobbie Fletcher RN

Medical Resources

Bobbie has been working as an NHS specialist nurse for children and young adults with complex health needs since 2002. During her career she has taken senior roles in the coordination and management of a specialist care service and is also actively engaged in education. Bobbie was instrumental in the development and oversight of a community placement, working in partnership with the local authority, which included the employment, development and training of staff. Bobbie assists Med ResQ in coordinating and recruitment of medical staff, equipment and office resources.

Consultant Anaesthetist

Ali is a UK trained and registered doctor. He is currently a Consultant in Anaesthetics, working at some of London’s largest and busiest tertiary hospitals. Ali has experience in critical care, peri-operative medicine, emergency care and transfer medicine. He is also interested in pre-hospital critical care management and has experience working as a pre-hospital critical care physician on a UK Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS). Ali’s in-depth knowledge of critical care enables him to give expert opinion on the transfer and stabilisation of overseas cases involving critical and non-critical patients.

Sami is contracted to the NHS as a locum Consultant Cardiologist, specialising in Interventional Cardiology. Having worked extensively at large teaching hospitals across the UK, including a role as clinical lead for Interventional Cardiology at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Trust, Sami can provide a specialist opinion on complex Cardiovascular cases.
